History
Jeroen Thornedike, a Dutch heroin addict, was the next Doctor and a member of The Authority.

Jeroen was a multimedia millionaire by twelve (presumably through old money but it's conceivable he did this himself), a dot-com billionaire by twenty, and staring into space in a psychiatric home by the age of twenty-one. After over a year of this, he gave away all his money and tried to have an ordinary life until the original Doctor died and Jeroen inherited his abilities. Weeks after, the entirety of this time spent shooting heroin and playing Sonic the Hedgehog 15 hours a day, he was contacted by Jenny Sparks and Swift to join The Authority. At first, he refused and teleported them away. The second time, Jenny shot herself in the head, forcing Jeroen to revive her (This took an entire year off of the ecosystem of the Netherlands). He joined soon afterwards. (Jenny Sparks: The Secret History of the Authority).

After The Authority recovered baby Jenny Quantum, The Doctor married a rock star and went on a honeymoon, disconecting himself from the group's radiotelepathy. When Midnighter and Jack found him, he was comatose from a heroin overdose. During this time, his powers reverted back to a previous Doctor (see the Renegade Doctor below) who used his powers to destroy various large cities such as NYC, the Vatican, and others. When Jeroen awoke (thanks to a shot of Midnighter's blood), he got his powers back but the Earth no longer listened to him, only the previous Doctor. This Doctor was eventually defeated when Jeroen again gave him his powers for an hour, enough time for the Renegade Doctor's 15 extra senses to kick in and feel empathy for every living being on the planet. Later on, Jeron was seen in bed with Engineer (this is assumed to have been the only time) (Earth Inferno and Other Stories graphic novel).

During the Transfer of Power storyline, he was replaced by The Surgeon, a French alchemist who was given control over the Doctor's powers but was never accepted by the collective consciousness of the previous Doctors, mainly because he brought in contractors to bulldoze ancient shrines and religious figureheads and build monuments to corporate characters as a means of instilling corporate characters as a new religion. He carried the Doctor in the form of a doll in his pocket. The Doctor recovered his powers once Midnighter killed The Surgeon.

He died again from a drug overdose given to him by Rose Tattoo on orders from Henry Bendix, who then captured his soul to point him to the next Doctor, Habib Ben Hassan. He was freed by Jenny Quantum (The Authority: Revolution)

A pioneering heart surgeon who became The Doctor and that 18 months later (in summer of 1967) murdered three entire countries in alphabetical order. He was stopped by the combined force of every superhuman in the planet. He was stripped of his powers, kicked out the Garden of Ancestral Memory and incarcerated in a privately-owned temporal prison 20 million years in the past. When The Authority's Doctor overdosed himself with heroin and went into a coma, his powers reverted to the renegade. Jeroen got his powers back when he woke up, but Earth no longer listened to him. To prevent Earth from reversing its magnetic poles, he wanted the current Doctor to transfer his powers back to him for an hour. Brought to the present, he got his wish and a fight against The Authority. Until the 15 new senses he just got kicked in and the empathy with every creature on existence overhelmed him. Apollo then incinerated his body and the Enginer kicked off his head
