Jakeem may summon the Thunderbolt which requires his pen to achieve this as well as uttering the words ‘so cool’. The Thunderbolt will follow Jakeem wishes generally. He is entitled to make a Red Psyche FEAT (at -3CS penalty) to act independently if Jakeem wishes something evil (such as he is possessed for example).

Jakeems’ mother left his father when pregnant. She later died of cancer. Jakeem was brought up by his aunt but became self-reliant and foul mouthed in order to survive life on the street. After a meeting with the original Flash (Jay Garrick), Jakeem became the owner of a pen, which housed the Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt gladly serves Jakeem and has no desire to be freed. Jakeem has become a member of the JSA. He does not appreciate being seen as the junior member, but otherwise has a strong relationship to members on the team (particularly Star Girl and Flash).
