History
Waylon Jones was born in the Florida slums. He was cursed with a hideous hereditary disease which gave him tough, scaly skin and a reptilian appearance. He suffered abuse from both his family and classmates. Jones became very bitter and turned to a life of crime.
After spending time in prison he found a job as an alligator wrestler in a carnival sideshow. There he earned the name "Killer Croc." Croc left the carnival and disappeared into the criminal underworld. He resurfaced in Gotham City where he has battled Batman many times.
