History
Freddy Freeman was good at everything he did. He was a school athlete, scholar, popular with the girls, etc. He had everything going for him, until the villain known as Captain Nazi crippled him, and killed his grandfather. Freddy would have died too, if Mary and Billy had not saved his life, and petitioned Shazam to give him a part of the Marvel power.
As Captain Marvel Jr., Freddy really enjoys his powers. In his normal ID, he is a cripple, so being Captain Marvel Jr. is a preferred alternative. He often has to be told to power down by Billy or Mary, because if it were up to him, he'd stay Captain Marvel Jr. all the time. He is appreciative of his gift however, and mostly respects that he has to use it in limited amounts so the other Marvels can operate. Freddy is definitely a hot-head, quick to temper, and is obnoxiously sure of himself. His grandfather brought him up with good morals however, as Freddy is not a bad guy. He usually knows what the right thing to do is, and tries to do it. He wanted to kill Captain Nazi for what the villain did to him and his grandfather, but has since realized that this would be wrong. He has the hots for Mary, and sees her as someone special - not like the other girls he used to date. Billy does not approve of his attempts to get together with his sister, however. Freddy is slowly coming to the realization that his "Marvel Family" is the only family he has left, and they are more important to him than he has so far admitted.
